HIGH PLAINS HELPING HAND IS HONORED TO BE A PART OF THE QUEST WITH OUR CLIENTS AS THEY SEEK OUT A BETTER FUTURE.
EDUCATION IS A JOURNEY AND WE WILL BE THERE EVERY STEP OF THE WAY.
High Plains Helping Hand started it's humble beginnings in 1984 as a food bank.
In 2016, we transitioned into career and education assistance, but what does that mean? We're glad you asked! Our agency helps obtain a certified birth certificate, a driver's license or photo ID for employment, and we make sure you documents are in order before you show up at the DPS office!
We also help our future college students fill out their Fafsa. We'll help you make sure you applied to all the colleges listed on your Fafsa, and our director can even go with you to enrollment if you want help with that, too.
We offer GED assistance by paying for the tests and books.
And to top it off, we have budgeting classes, too. No, it's not as boring as it sounds, we promise!
We also help with career advancing classes such as phlebotomy (Fafsa can't be used for these classes), and we provide free head lice kits to any student in Hutchinson County in grades K through 12.
HPHH is a hand-up for the community. We assist with services like resume building, job interview skills, tips on how to dress for success, and more! Stay updated by following us on our Facebook and Instagram pa
Inspiring education, advancing careers, and promoting sustainable income for members of Hutchinson County.
We are currently working on becoming a GED testing facility in Hutchinson County!
We also have plans in the works to become a TSI testing center (TSI testing must be done before you can enroll in college), but our BIGGEST project right now is our partnership with Frank Phillips College to provide budgeting classes and driver's education for ages 18 to 24.
