HIGH PLAINS HELPING HAND IS HONORED TO BE A PART OF THE QUEST WITH OUR CLIENTS AS THEY SEEK OUT A BETTER FUTURE.
EDUCATION IS A JOURNEY AND WE WILL BE THERE EVERY STEP OF THE WAY.
High Plains Helping Hand has been a staple in Hutchinson County for almost 40 years!
What does career and education assistance look like? We're glad you asked!
Our agency helps clients obtain a certified birth certificate for the purpose of getting a driver's license or photo ID for employment, and we make sure you documents are in order before you show up at the DPS office! We also help future college students fill out FAFSA. We'll make sure you applied to all the colleges listed on your FAFSA and our director has been known to tag along when a client needs one on one help enrolling in college. No need to sweat it the first day of class, we will make sure you know exactly where your classes are located.
We offer GED assistance, too. Our agency will covers the cost of GED tests and any books you might need to get your GED.
To top it off, we have budgeting classes, too. No, it's not as boring as it sounds, we promise!
We also help with career advancing classes such as phlebotomy (FAFSA can't be used for these classes), and we provide free head lice kits to any student in Hutchinson County in grades K through 12 with.
Kristy utilized HPHH assistance to become an EMT. She painted this picture for us that hangs in our lobby.
Thomas, pictured here with his wife, Faith, was referred to HPHH for assistance getting his birth certificate and driver's license. He received both.
